DEZURIK, 1928 TO TODAY
The Sartell Paper Mill had a problem with pine pitch build-up on their valves. They looked to an inventive employee for a solution. His name was Matt DeZurik. Matt realized that if the sealing face of the plug could immediately pull away from the seat upon opening, the plug would avoid damage from pitch. He designed a valve with a segmented plug mounted on pivot bearings at each end of the shaft. The plug had a cam (eccentric) closure action against the raised body seat – a revolutionary development at the time. From that beginning, the DeZURIK Eccentric Valve was born in 1928. Paper manufacturers immediately recognized its advantages and sent in their orders
Since then, the DeZURIK product line has extended beyond the paper industry. Today DeZURIK is the innovative global leader in valve technologies for water and wastewater treatment as well as industrial applications including pulp and paper, chemical and petrochemical, power, mining and other process industries. Recognized worldwide for high quality and superior performance, DeZURIK products increase accuracy, durability, reliability and customer profitability
RECENT EXPANSION
In 2011, DeZURIK acquired APCO and Willamette – two industry-leading water and wastewater brands that boast a history of innovation going back to APCO’s founding in 1895. With renowned technology in Air Valves and Check Valves, APCO and Willamette products are a perfect addition to DeZURIK’s vast line. Plus, our combined company histories total nearly 200 years – providing our customers unrivaled expertise.
Most recently in 2012, DeZURIK acquired HILTON Valve, Inc. – a leading producer of fabricated large diameter and custom knife gate valves. Combining HILTON products and operations with DeZURIK creates one of the broadest knife-gate and engineered valve companies in the industry.
OUR PRODUCTS
DeZURIK designs and manufactures more valves for the markets we serve than anyone else. High-Performance Butterfly Valves. AWWA Butterfly Valves. Eccentric Plug Valves. V-Port Ball Valves. Rotary Control Valves. Knife Gate Valves. With the addition of APCO and Willamette, we now offer additional industry-leading products including Check Valves, Air Release Valves, AWWA Ball Valves, and Cone Valves.

DeZURIK operates a modern plant equipped with up-to-date production equipment that is devoted solely to the production of our valves and related products. Our experienced work force is dedicated to producing quality products and on-time service.
To improve the utilization of our resources, new manufacturing, quality assurance and through-put programs are continually implemented to ensure responsiveness and prepare for the growth opportunities in the future.
